Our verdict on Livestorm

Updated October 1, 2026 · Checked November 1, 2026

Reviewers find Livestorm easy to run. Branded webinars come together quickly, attendees join from a browser, and registration pages, reminders, polls, Q&A, and replays all live in one tool. Most complaints are about cost and contract terms. Plans are annual and renew automatically unless you give 90 days' notice, and several reviewers describe renewals they tried to stop or steep price rises at renewal. Small teams also find it expensive, and some hosts hit audio or screen-sharing glitches during live sessions.

Seamless Webinar Hosting with Engaging Tools

What they like: I use Livestorm primarily for hosting webinars, product demos, and virtual training sessions. I like its browser-based setup and built-in engagement tools that make large-scale presentations smooth and interactive. The seamless end-to-end management is what I like most, from registration pages to detailed post-event analytics. It makes hosting professional webinars and tracking participant engagement completely hassle-free. These features save our team hours of administrative work by automating repetitive tasks like sending reminders and compiling attendance reports. Being able to track engagement metrics lets us easily measure ROI and understand what resonates with our audience. The initial setup was very easy. What they dislike: I find the mobile experience could be smoother for attendees joining complex sessions. Expanding native integrations with a wider range of third-party CRM and marketing automation tools would make data syncing even more seamless for us.

Reducing Webinar Coordination Complexity Through Automation

What they like: What I liked most about Livestorm was how it simplified virtual meetings, technical presentations, training sessions, and operational discussions without requiring complicated setup or software installation. The browser-based access reduced technical issues during client meetings and internal collaboration sessions, which made coordination smoother. Features like screen sharing, polls, chat, recordings, attendee analytics, and automated reminders helped keep webinars and project discussions organized in one platform instead of managing multiple separate tools. The integrations and automation workflows also reduced manual coordination effort and improved follow-up tracking after sessions. What they dislike: One limitation I noticed is that advanced customization options for branding, registration pages, and event workflows can feel somewhat restrictive for organizations requiring more flexible webinar configurations. Some advanced analytics, attendee limits, integrations, and premium features are also locked behind higher-tier pricing plans, which may become expensive for teams conducting regular webinars or client-facing sessions. During larger meetings, I also experienced occasional lag or loading delays while switching screens or presenters. Reporting flexibility and deeper event analytics could improve further for more detailed operational analysis.

Great for Creating Shareable Events with Custom Branding

It's very intuitive to set up new live or on-demand events using Livestorm. Pros: I like that we don't have to worry about uploading videos to YouTube after hosting an event to share it, nor create additional landing pages or forms to make an on-demand version. I also like how we can control branding on the signup page, add speaker information, and customize automated emails directly from the app. It is also great that attendees don't have to download additional software or run disruptive updates in order to join the webinar. Cons: The reporting within Livestorm is pretty minimal. For example, it would be great to run attendee reports with a date filter, so we can easily count how many people watched an on-demand webinar in a given month.

A really reliable alternative to Gmeets (For bigger audience)

Overall experience with Livestorm is definitely a good one. We've had multiple live session and townhalls and it never dissapoints. Pros: We use Livestorm since we have quite a number of employees (600+) and it would support the amount of people and reactions and internal comms that we never knew we needed. Cons: So far, all is good with Livestorm. If only they would just improve their API integrations by adding more options so we could link the users seamlessly without individually inviting each or by batch.

Effortless Virtual Events, Seamless Integration

What they like: I like that Livestorm focuses on simplicity and scalability for global B2B virtual events. Its one-click content repurposing feature is a game changer, as it automates the entire process of turning live sessions into on-demand assets without any manual post-event work. The live webinars, demos, or trainings are automatically recorded, encoded, and optimized for both web and mobile viewing. I love that these recordings are instantly saved to the Livestorm library with all the event context included, such as chat logs, poll results, Q&A threads, and slide decks, allowing attendees of the on-demand version to engage just like they were there live. What they dislike: Form logic is basic: no advanced conditional fields (e.g., “if attendee selects ‘Enterprise’ as company size, show a field for ‘IT contact name/email’; if ‘SMB’, skip it”)—a critical B2B need for capturing tailored lead data for sales follow-up.

Smooth and Reliable for Hosting Webinars

My overall experience with Livestorm was very positive. I used it from 2023 to 2024 while working as a Communications Officer at the Center for Research‑Action on Race Relations (CRARR), mainly to host webinars and online information sessions. The platform was easy to use, fully browser‑based, and reliable for both small and large audiences. The engagement tools—like chat, polls, and Q&A—helped make our sessions more interactive, and attendees could join instantly without downloading anything. Overall, it made managing and delivering webinars smooth and professional. Pros: What I liked most about Livestorm was how easy it was to host webinars without requiring anyone to download software. Everything ran directly in the browser, the interface was clean, and attendees could join instantly. The engagement tools—like chat, polls, and Q&A—worked smoothly, which made our sessions more interactive and professional. Cons: What I liked least about Livestorm was that some of the advanced features—like detailed analytics and higher attendee limits—were locked behind paid plans. The free version was good for basic webinars, but it felt limited when I needed more flexibility or larger events.

What Livestorm actually does differently

Nothing to install for hosts or attendees

Speakers and attendees join from a browser tab on a laptop or mobile device, and anyone without a good connection can dial in by phone. It is one of the strengths reviewers mention most.

You pay for people who attend

Pro plans are yearly packs of attendee credits. A credit is used once per person per session, live, on replay, or on demand. No-shows and your own team members use none, and team seats are unlimited. Unused credits expire at the end of the year.

One event, live and on demand

A live session converts to an on-demand recording, and follow-up emails can include the replay. Event automation can start a session and play a pre-recorded video on schedule, and multi-session events share one registration link.

Lead data for your CRM

Livestorm records each registrant's UTM source and attendance in a contact profile and reports attendance and conversion rates for every event. The HubSpot integration works on every plan; the Salesforce, Marketo, and Pardot syncs are Enterprise add-ons, and Zapier and Livestorm's API connect other tools.

EU hosting and ISO 27001

Livestorm is EU-hosted and GDPR compliant, and it holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. Add-ons let you choose an EU or US video hosting region and turn on SAML SSO, and Enterprise includes a security review of your MSA.

Who Livestorm is for

B2B marketing teams running lead-gen webinars

Every event needs a registration page, reminder emails, and attendee data in the CRM afterward, and running a separate tool for each step slows the team down.

Pro covers registration pages, unlimited reminder and follow-up emails, UTM tracking, and engagement analytics, and the native HubSpot integration works on every plan. The native Salesforce, Marketo, and Pardot syncs are Enterprise features sold as add-ons.

Customer education and onboarding teams

The same onboarding or training session runs every week, and repeating it fills the team's calendar.

Event automation can play a recorded session on schedule while the team answers questions in the room, and the follow-up email can carry the replay. Pro credit packs start at 400 attendees a year.

Sales teams moving from one-to-one demos to group demos

Account executives give the same product demo to one prospect at a time.

A group demo on Pro records each registrant's details and attendance for follow-up. A native Salesforce sync for those leads requires Enterprise.

European companies and regulated industries

Security and legal reviews in healthcare, finance, and the public sector ask where data is hosted and which certifications the vendor holds.

Every plan is EU-hosted, ISO 27001 certified, and GDPR compliant. Enterprise adds a security review of your MSA and VIP support with an SLA, and add-ons cover SAML SSO and an EU or US video hosting region.

HR and internal communications teams

They run all-hands meetings, employee training, and hiring events for a distributed workforce, and nobody should need to install an app to join.

Workspace team members don't use attendee credits when they attend internal trainings, and Pro includes unlimited team members. Outside candidates at a hiring event use credits like any external audience.

Livestorm FAQ

Is Livestorm worth it?+

For teams that run webinars every month, most reviewers say yes. They praise how quickly events come together, browser access for attendees, and the built-in registration, reminders, and engagement tools, and Livestorm averages 4.4 across 2,200+ ratings on G2, Capterra, Gartner Peer Insights, and Trustpilot. It is a harder sell for small or occasional users: Pro starts at $1,200 a year for 400 attendee credits, billed annually, and the plan renews automatically.

Is Livestorm free?+

Livestorm has a free plan that needs no credit card. Its help center lists the free plan at 30 attendee credits a year, events up to 30 minutes, and 10 events per organization, which suits a test run more than a webinar program (some older Livestorm pages still describe 20-minute events). Paid plans start with Pro at $1,200 a year.

How much does Livestorm cost?+

Pro is sold as yearly packs of attendee credits: 400 credits for $1,200 ($3.00 per attendee), 1,000 for $2,900, 1,500 for $4,125, 2,500 for $6,500, and 4,000 for $9,600 ($2.40 per attendee). Enterprise pricing is custom. A credit is used when someone attends a session live, on replay, or on demand; no-shows and team members use none, and unused credits expire at the end of the year. We checked these prices on Livestorm's pricing page on October 1, 2026.

Can you cancel Livestorm anytime?+

No. Paid plans run for a year and renew automatically for the same term unless you give notice at least 90 days before the renewal date, and Livestorm's conditions of sale rule out refunds for unused credits or early termination. Several Trustpilot and G2 reviewers say their plans renewed after they tried to cancel, so send notice in writing well before the cutoff and keep Livestorm's confirmation.

Is Livestorm safe and legit?+

Yes. Livestorm SAS, the French company behind it, was founded in 2016, raised a $30M Series B in 2020, and reports a net profit for 2024 and 2025 in its filed accounts. Livestorm holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, with EU hosting and GDPR compliance. Users rate it 4.4 on G2, 4.7 on Capterra, and 4.6 on Gartner Peer Insights, and Zapier's 2026 roundup of webinar software for marketers names it the best simple option for running multiple webinars. Its Trustpilot score (2.7 from 26 reviews) comes mostly from customers unhappy with renewals and billing.

What are the biggest complaints about Livestorm?+

Contract terms come up most in the critical reviews: annual plans that renew automatically, a 90-day notice period, and price rises at renewal. Reviewers also call it expensive for small teams, say the pricing model has changed more than once (most recently to annual attendee credits), report occasional audio, video, and screen-sharing glitches, and want more control over branding, registration forms, and reporting.

Do attendees need to download anything to join Livestorm?+

No. Hosts, speakers, and attendees join from a web browser on a computer or phone, and attendees can also dial in by phone. Reviewers single this out often, though a few note that video quality depends on each attendee's connection and browser.

Does Livestorm integrate with HubSpot and Salesforce?+

Yes. The native HubSpot integration works on every plan, Free included. Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, and Microsoft Dynamics are Enterprise integrations that Livestorm's help center lists as paid add-ons, and Zapier and an API connect other tools. Reviewers who use the HubSpot sync like that registrants and attendees flow into their CRM, and a few find it limited.

Does Livestorm have AI features?+

Yes, mostly in beta. Pro includes live captions and AI content repurposing, which turns a session's transcript into summaries, blog posts, social posts, and emails, and a Livestorm MCP connector lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT create events and read engagement data. AI Studio, which cuts replays into social clips, is a paid add-on in private beta. Few reviewers mention the AI tools, and one Gartner reviewer found the captions inaccurate for speakers with accents.
