Why people leave Livestorm

Most Livestorm reviewers are happy with how easy it is to run a webinar. The critical reviews come back to a few problems. The first is the contract: plans are annual, renew unless you give 90 days' notice, and don't refund unused credits.

“Their renewals process is incredibly frustrating. 90 days notice for a webinar platform, with no warning of it coming until after the cancellation window had passed”Brandi E., G2, April 2026

The second is cost. Every attendee in every session uses a credit, credits expire after a year, and teams find their usage hard to predict:

“The pricing model forces you to anticipate how many attendees you will attract and that's very difficult to estimate.”Ruth R., G2, February 2025

The rest are about the product: glitches during live sessions, often tied to someone's connection, browser, or file, and branding, form, and reporting options that some teams find limited.

“When we tried to use a powerpoint file so that we can be more professional and have some animations, the presentation was lagging terribly bad.”Verified User in Computer Software, G2, July 2026
“One limitation I noticed is that advanced customization options for branding, registration pages, and event workflows can feel somewhat restrictive for organizations requiring more flexible webinar configurations.”VINAY P., G2, May 2026

The 6 best Livestorm alternatives

  1. WebinarGeek

Monthly billing and a flat price, hosted in Europe

WebinarGeek is the closest swap for European teams leaving over contract terms or per-attendee costs. It charges a flat price by viewer cap, from €59 a month billed yearly or €99 month to month, with unlimited webinars and hosting in Amsterdam and Frankfurt. But it gives no refunds, its prices can rise each year, each simultaneous webinar needs its own user, and it publishes no ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification.

  2. Zoom Webinars

A flat license per host, and much bigger audiences

For teams leaving over per-attendee costs, Zoom licenses each host by audience size instead: $800 a year or $89 a month for 300-attendee webinars, plus a Zoom Workplace Pro license, with no limit on how many webinars the host runs. It sells up to 5,000 attendees online and lists up to 100,000 through sales, with CRM integrations on every tier. Check that your attendees are fine with the Zoom app, and that you don't need simulive sessions, which come with the pricier Webinars Plus.
