Why buyers look past Demio

Demio is easy to use and fairly priced for frequent webinars, and it rates 4.6 on G2. The complaints in its recent reviews come back to three things. The first is integrations, especially with HubSpot:

“The HubSpot integration is cumbersome. You have to set it up for every webinar, plus create three separate lists in HubSpot to track back to Demio.”Jim H., Demio review on G2, August 2024

The second is how features are split across plans: native CRM integrations, captions, restreaming, and custom domains all wait for Premium, at $196 a month per host billed yearly.

“Some premium features are limited to higher pricing tiers, which can affect ROI for smaller teams.”Venkat R., Demio review on G2, August 2026

The third is audio and microphone trouble during live sessions:

“It often fails to recognize my microphone and requires a lot of troubleshooting during live streaming.”Jeromy Batac, Demio review on Trustpilot, June 2025

Two facts outside the reviews matter for long contracts. Demio is hosted mainly in the US and publishes no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification. Its owner, Parabolic Technologies (called Banzai International until October 2026), said in its report for the second quarter of 2026 that recurring losses raise substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.

The 5 best Demio alternatives

  1. Livestorm

One feature set, EU hosting, a profitable vendor

Every Livestorm Pro pack has the same features; you only choose how many attendee credits you need, from 400 for $1,200 a year. Its HubSpot integration works on every plan, data stays in the EU, and Livestorm SAS reported a net profit for 2024 and 2025. But it charges per attendee, which costs more than Demio for frequent webinars, and plans are annual only with 90 days' notice to cancel.

  2. WebinarGeek

Monthly billing, EU hosting, CRM add-ons

WebinarGeek keeps Demio's flat, capacity-based pricing, from €59 a month billed yearly, with monthly billing on Premium and hosting in Amsterdam and Frankfurt. HubSpot or Salesforce sync is a €49-a-month add-on on Premium. It publishes no ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification and needs a separate user for each webinar running at the same time.

  3. Zoom Webinars

CRM on every tier, from a large public company

Zoom licenses each host by audience size, from $800 a year or $89 a month for 300 attendees, plus a Zoom Workplace Pro license, and includes HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, and Eloqua integrations on every tier. Zoom Communications is a public company with SOC 2 and ISO 27001. It recommends its app for attendees, and simulive sessions need the pricier Webinars Plus.

  4. BigMarker

    Bigger audiences and evergreen webinars

BigMarker lists 10,000 live attendees on its Professional plan and 500,000 on Enterprise, evergreen and 24-7 webinars, and native CRM integrations from Professional. It is quote-only, billed a year in advance, and processes data mainly in the US.

  5. ON24

    Enterprise analytics and integrations

ON24 has engagement scores, content hubs, and connectors for Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, and Veeva, and Cvent has owned it since April 2026. It is quote-only on yearly contracts with paid add-ons, a step up in cost and setup from Demio.

When to stay with Demio

Stay if you run webinars often for steady audiences: Demio's per-host price doesn't grow with attendance, replays cost nothing, sessions run up to 8 or 10 hours, and Starter and Growth can be paid month to month, which also limits your exposure to the parent company's finances. If you need native CRM sync, compare Premium's price with the cost of switching.

If you want EU hosting, a security certificate, or one plan with every feature, Livestorm is the closest fit. Read its full review record, critical reviews included, first.

How we sourced this: on October 1, 2026 we pulled Demio's 50 most recent G2 reviews (December 21, 2022 to August 4, 2026; G2 labels 42 of them organic) and all 6 of its Trustpilot reviews, which Trustpilot marks as unprompted. Demio hasn't invited Trustpilot reviews, so we don't compare that score with invited ones. Quotes are verbatim. Banzai's going-concern statement is from its quarterly report filed with the SEC on August 14, 2026.
