ON24 is an enterprise marketing platform sold by quote, and since April 2026 it has belonged to Cvent. It goes further than Livestorm on audience size, engagement analytics, and enterprise integrations, and it is built for compliance-heavy industries. Livestorm is the simpler, cheaper-to-start tool: published prices, a free plan, phone dial-in for attendees, and setup that reviewers call quick.
Pick ON24 if you regularly need more than 3,000 live attendees, run marketing on Eloqua, Marketo, or Veeva, or want managed event services. Pick Livestorm if you want to see the price before a sales call and run webinars without a dedicated operations team.

How you buy Livestorm vs ON24
Livestorm sells online. You can start on the free plan and move to a Pro pack of attendee credits, from 400 credits for $1,200 a year to 4,000 for $9,600, without talking to anyone. Enterprise is custom-priced.
ON24 sells through its sales team. Its annual report describes subscriptions that usually run a year, renew automatically, and are invoiced at the start of the term. Its help center says attendee numbers and whether you can run two webinars at once "will depend on the terms of your contract", and logins are capped by the contract too. Many features are paid add-ons: the Connect license that carries CRM and marketing automation sync and API access, Advanced Analytics, breakout rooms, single sign-on, and automatic live captions. Events over the contracted attendee limit carry an overage fee, and larger events need an approved request with a reservation fee.
Livestorm's terms set a 90-day notice period before renewal and rule out refunds for unused credits. ON24's notice and refund terms sit in its universal terms, which we couldn't load, so ask for both in writing before you sign.
Livestorm vs ON24 audience size and engagement data
ON24 handles bigger crowds. Classic Elite takes up to 5,000 people at once, more with approval, while Livestorm stops at 3,000 per session. But ON24's newer Next Generation Elite caps at 2,000.
ON24 also goes deeper on what happens after the webinar: an engagement score for every attendee, benchmark reports, account and prospect profiles in its Advanced Analytics add-on, always-on content hubs, and AI tools that turn sessions into clips, posts, and emails. Livestorm records each registrant's source and attendance and reports attendance and conversion per event, with fewer layers to set up.
ON24 under Cvent
Cvent agreed to buy ON24 in December 2025 and completed the deal on April 1, 2026, for about $400 million in cash. Cvent says it will keep investing in the platform, and ON24's customer FAQ said existing contracts stay in force. ON24 now sits next to two other webinar products Cvent owns, Goldcast and Cvent Webinar, so ask how its roadmap and renewal pricing will be set. Before the sale, ON24's last annual report showed revenue down 6% in 2025 and workforce reductions in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
